Aloha Wellness Physiotherapy Treatments and Equipment?

Our physiotherapy center emphasizes identifying the root cause of pain and providing holistic treatment. We particularly focus on various types of pain related to fascial stretching. As fascia runs throughout the entire body, a key feature of our service is providing highly effective and long-lasting "fascial release therapy." Additionally, we offer manual therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercise therapy, and instrument-assisted therapies, including shockwave therapy, focused electromagnetic field pain therapy, radiofrequency deep fascial thermotherapy, interferential current high-efficiency pain relief electrotherapy, and ultrasound therapy.

Our physiotherapists will thoroughly understand your problem and medical history, then conduct a comprehensive examination and tests. After identifying the cause of the problem, the therapist will make a diagnosis and provide the most suitable treatment plan for you.

Physiotherapy: A thorough diagnosis is conducted by a physiotherapist to identify the cause of the current pain and formulate a treatment plan, followed by targeted physical therapy. Physiotherapy emphasizes clinical reasoning rather than simply replicating pre-existing treatment protocols. Ultimately, it aims to help you recover to your best condition through various treatment methods for pain and injuries, such as manual therapy, acupuncture, exercise therapy, rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, and more. Physiotherapists also adjust each treatment session based on changes in your pain to provide the best possible outcome.

Aloha Relief: Preset soothing and relaxation treatments provided by exercise therapists, where clients can choose different options based on their individual needs. Here are five options:
1. Whole back fascia release
2. Forward head posture and rounded shoulders correction
3. Fascial adjustment for fitness enthusiasts
4. Professional manual stretching
5. Lower limb lymphatic trigger point therapy

Yes. Pregnant women must inform our therapists of their gestational age and any specific medical conditions before treatment so that appropriate adjustments can be made during the session. Each therapist is professionally trained to understand the precautions and potential risks during pregnancy, such as avoiding electrotherapy and specific acupressure points, to safely alleviate discomfort caused by pregnancy.

The additional weight and stress on a pregnant woman's body can cause back pain, swollen calves, and stiff joints. Various treatment methods can alleviate discomfort during pregnancy. Our physiotherapists will design the most suitable treatment and exercise plan for expecting mothers during and after pregnancy.

Under normal circumstances, physiotherapists will adjust the intensity of treatment according to each patient's tolerance. It is possible to experience mild discomfort during treatment, but it will always be within the patient's acceptable range. If you have any special requests regarding treatment, such as not preferring acupuncture or electrotherapy, please feel free to communicate proactively with your therapist, and we will arrange the most suitable treatment for you.

The number of treatment sessions will vary depending on each individual's specific situation, as everyone's recovery rate is different. Acute or chronic pain, the extent and scope of the injury or pain will all affect the number of treatment sessions, but we usually assess a patient's progress within a week. If the injury has accumulated over time, physiotherapy generally takes longer. In addition, patients must still cooperate with the physiotherapist to perform home physiotherapy exercises to speed up recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pregnancy-related

Pregnancy Care: Is pain relief treatment safe for pregnant women?

Pregnancy Care is a therapeutic massage technique developed by professional physiotherapists and prenatal massage therapists. It is a completely safe, natural, and drug-free method for alleviating pain during pregnancy.

According to a 2010 literature review in "Expert Reviews in Obstetrics and Gynecology," therapeutic massage for pregnant women is effective in improving physical pain, emotional tension, and insomnia, as well as reducing postpartum pain. However, certain improper techniques and acupressure points can potentially lead to adverse reactions such as uterine contractions. Therefore, it is crucial to seek a professionally trained therapist specializing in prenatal pain relief.

Therapeutic massage is suitable after 13 weeks of pregnancy (after the first trimester).

After the first trimester, the baby's condition is more stable, and as the pregnancy progresses into the second/third trimesters, bodily changes become more noticeable. Therapeutic massage is suitable for addressing various aspects such as weight, edema, posture, and mood.

1. Back pain
2. Sciatica
3. Shoulder and neck strain
4. Leg edema
5. Hand fatigue
6. Overall mental tension and stress
7. Improved sleep

1. Understand the pregnant woman's physical condition and the issues she wants to address.
2. Manually assess the degree of muscle tension and imbalance/edema.
3. Perform targeted manual therapy.

Each session is approximately 60 minutes.

Each session costs HKD 1,500

Typically, 6-10 sessions are needed, but this highly depends on the severity of the pregnant woman's pain.

You won't feel pain during the treatment, but you might experience slight soreness in areas with more muscle strain or lymphatic blockage, which will be well within the pregnant woman's comfort level.

Suitable.
Pregnancy places a certain amount of stress on the body, both physiologically and psychologically. Therapeutic massage can effectively alleviate these issues. After childbirth, it can be combined with electrotherapy or acupuncture for even better recovery.
