Treatment process

Physical Therapy

1. Physical Therapist Consultation

Understand the patient's condition and background, and gain an initial understanding of the pain.

2. Undergo a physical examination

Identifying the root cause of a patient's pain leads to more effective treatment.

3. Undergoing physical therapy

Develop treatment plans based on the patient's condition, combining various treatment methods.

4. At-home exercise and workout tutorials

The therapist will teach targeted at-home exercises to strengthen muscles and accelerate recovery.

ALOHA Exclusive Large-Area Fascia Release

Fascia is a powerful connective tissue that links various parts of the body and can be problematic due to prolonged poor posture or trauma. When the fascia is out of balance, it can cause widespread tightness or pain. During an Aloha widespread fascia release, the therapist will identify the location and direction of fascial tightness in the patient and perform targeted cupping therapy. It is normal for the tight areas to show some redness, which will gradually decrease with the number of treatments and the degree of relaxation.

✨ Tennis Elbow ✨ Neck Pain
✨ Disc Herniation ✨ Sports Injuries
✨ Scoliosis ✨ Frozen Shoulder
✨ Plantar Fasciitis

Trigger Point Dry Needling

The goals of physiotherapy needling are primarily to alleviate pain, promote nerve recovery, and relax muscles and joints. Based on Western medical anatomy, physiotherapists assess and palpate to diagnose musculoskeletal or nerve inflammation causing pain, and then needle at stress points or myofascial trigger points.

All physiotherapists performing acupuncture at this center are accredited acupuncture practitioners by the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association (HKPA Accredited acupuncture practitioner).

For Pain Relief:

✨ Back and neck pain ✨ Joint sprains
✨ Sciatica ✨ Sports injuries
✨ Numbness in hands and feet ✨ Arthritis
✨ Ankle sprains

Manual Therapy

Through a detailed assessment and palpation by a physiotherapist, different manual therapies are used according to the individual patient's condition. These include joint mobilization, traction therapy, manual stretching, myofascial release, or positional release, all aiming to relax tense muscles, correct joint movement dysfunctions, and relieve soft tissue spasms.

✨ Scoliosis ✨ Frozen Shoulder
✨ Plantar Fasciitis

Focused Shockwave Therapy

The principle is to use high-energy sound waves to destroy diseased tissue in the affected area, thereby releasing adhesions formed after inflammation, stimulating the regeneration of new blood vessels in the injury, and accelerating the wound's self-healing rate, ultimately increasing joint mobility and alleviating discomfort after inflammation.

For Pain Relief:

✨ Plantar fasciitis ✨ Hip pain
✨ Tennis elbow ✨ De Quervain's tenosynovitis
✨ Osteoarthritis ✨ Recurrent sprains
✨ Various old injuries

Interferential Current Therapy (IFT)

Interferential therapy is based on the principle that two medium-frequency currents of different frequencies meet and interfere with each other in the body. When these two currents intersect, they interfere with each other in the body, generating a new virtual frequency. This low-frequency current penetrates deep into the skin without causing too much discomfort on the skin's surface.

For Pain:

✨Muscle Contusion ✨Shoulder and Neck Strain

Radiofrequency Hyperthermia

The principle is to introduce electromagnetic energy into tissues for deep heat therapy and fascia release treatment, thereby stimulating tissues, accelerating blood circulation, relaxing muscles, alleviating pain caused by muscle tension, and reducing edema.

For Pain:

✨Hamstring strain
✨Varicose veins
✨Mommy thumb

Ultrasound Therapy

The principle of ultrasound therapy is based on sound wave energy emitted by an ultrasound head, which can penetrate deep into the skin, muscles, and other soft tissues. The ultrasound energy generates micro-vibrations in the tissues, which can increase local blood circulation, promote the reduction of inflammation, and accelerate the natural tissue repair process.

For Pain Relief:

✨Foot sprain
✨Cruciate ligament tear
✨Joint impingement syndrome
